Ongarue Cottage

Guests have use of a century old Ongarue Cottage built of native timbers: The Cottage has five bedrooms, four are accessed in the Cottage, and the Fifth with its Private Access at the Back of the Cottage. Three of the Bedrooms in the Cottage are with ensuite bathrooms and one with a seperate bathroom. The Fifth Bedroom (the Kowhai Room) has ensuite bathroom, a bar fridge, coffee pod machine, jug, tea and coffee making.
We supply a continental breakfast, an example of what is included is: Weetbix, Muesli, Yoghurt, Fruit, Bread, Butter, Homemade Jam/Jelly, local Honey, and Free Range Eggs (when available) for you to cook. There is also Juice, English Breakfast Tea, Coffee pod machine (and pods) Plunger Coffee and Instant Coffee and Milk.

There is a shared kitchen/dining area and lounge (unless you book the whole house), with outside BBQ and outdoor dining option.

Minutes from the end of the Timber Trail and Timber Trail Shuttles we are perfectly located for your stay before or after cycling the Timber Trail Great Ride. Our grounds include nearly 2 hectares (over 3 acres) of gardens, orchards, olives and grassland, flowing down to Ongarue River. Our region offers many spectacular adventures and tourist attractions
