Tucked away on a ridge up in the Queensberry Hills of Central Otago, Matagouri Lodge Boutique Bed & Breakfasts treats guests to sensational panoramic views, gourmet meals, and magical night skies.

Built in 2023 as a peaceful retreat and making the most of the incredible views, the lodge is located slightly off the beaten track with a short 20 minute drive to local attractions around Wanaka and Cromwell. Guests are encouraged to unplug, unwind and take their time to explore the stunning region.

Breakfast is included in the room rate, and dinners can be booked in advance. Meals are prepared using produce from the kitchen garden and orchard, along with locally grown seasonal fruit and vegetables, local artisan produce, and of course Central Otago wine.

Bookings are exclusive to one travelling party at a time, accommodating up to four guests. The Matagouri Wing has two bedrooms – Grand View with a super king bed and the Bendigo Hills with a double bed. The two bedrooms share a private bathroom with a walk-in shower plus an additional WC. Guests are welcome to relax in the shared living space.
